TEGUCIGALPA, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The Honduran interim
government on Sunday announced the extension of the curfew at the bordering
areas with Nicaragua.
The besiege set since Friday midday will be extended
12 hours more on Sunday, to be valid from 6:00 am. to 6:00 p.m. local time (1200
to 0000 GMT).
This measure will be also valid for the
municipalities of San Marcos de Colon, Duyure and Concepcion de Maria from
Choluteca department in the south of the country.
Thousands of supporters from ousted President Manuel
Zelaya were in El Paraiso, 12km to Las Manos town, waiting for the curfew to
finish so they can continue their way to meet him in the Nicaraguan border.
Zelaya's family is among that group of people waiting
for the curfew to finish and continue their way. Zelaya's family rejected on
Saturday the offer from the interim government of giving it a plane to fly to
Nicaragua.
Zelaya went to Las Manos on Saturday to set a camp
and to wait for the military forces to allow him to retake his charge.
Zelaya said on Sunday that he will give a press
conference in Nicaraguan side to announce his future plans to return to his
country, from where he was ousted on June 28 and taken to Costa Rica.

day in a row the deposed Honduran President Manuel Zelaya appeared Saturday on
the border between Nicaragua and his country, from where he was expulsed in a
coup almost a month ago.

MANAGUA, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Ousted
Honduran President Manuel Zelaya urged on Sunday the presidents from the
Americas to demand the U.S. to make clear its position towards the coup of June
28 in Honduras.
During a speech to his followers in Ocotal, north of
Nicaragua, Zelaya said that the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton most be
demanded on making clear her position about the coup. Full story
