Malaysia reports 39 new cases of A/H1N1 flu

     KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The Malaysian Health Ministryon Friday reported 39 new cases of A/H1N1 flu, all cases were locally transmitted.

    Malaysian Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai said that among the new cases, 36 involved clusters of transmission.

    Liow also said that seven colleges were ordered to be closed for a week after 70 students tested positive for the flu. The colleges were located in the Malacca State, about 150 km south from here.

    He added that Malaysia has detected 978 cases so far, with 954 had recovered, while 20 of the total cases were still undergoing anti-virus treatment in hospitals, and four were receiving outpatient treatment at their home.
