S Korea's media reform bill passed at
parliament
SEOUL, July 22 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's National Assembly
passed the government-proposed media reform bill on Wednesday amid harsh
objections from the nation's opposition party.
The passage of the bill, which has undergone strong
disputes at parliament since its introduction in late December, came amid strong
oppositions from the nation's largest opposition party, Democratic Party (DP),
which refused to vote at Wednesday's session. Full story
