KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The Malaysian
Health Ministry reported three new A/H1N1 flu cases on Tuesday, bringing the
number of total cases in the country to 877.
Malaysian Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai said here on
Tuesday that the new cases included two imported cases from Bandung in Indonesia
and one locally transmitted case.
He also said that one class consisted of 43 students
in Subang Bestari primary school had been ordered to be closed due to the
disease. The school was located in Shah Alam, capital city of the Selangor State
near here.
"Fifteen students of the class were absent due to
influenza-likeness illness (ILI)," he said, adding that the class remained close
until July 27.
Liow said that his ministry was still taking steps of
mitigation phase that mild patients of A/H1N1 flu would undergo home quarantine,
while serious patients would be treated in hospital.
He said that his ministry has monitored the pandemic
condition in the country by taking random samples from cluster ILI for A/H1N1
test.
