HELSINKI, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Finland has confirmed
eight more A/H1N1 flu cases since Monday, bringing the total number of
infections in the country to 111, Finnish media reported on Wednesday.
According to the Finnish National Institute for
Health and Welfare, the internal transmission cases of A/H1N1 flu are increasing
in Finland, as six to seven of the newly-confirmed patients are believed to have
contracted the disease domestically.
Finland confirmed its first internal A/H1N1 flu
transmission at the end of June. However, the majority of Finland's present
A/H1N1flu patients had contracted the virus during international trips.
As Finnish health authorities expect the first wave
of the pandemic to hit the country between August and October, the Finnish
government plans to inoculate all citizens with flu vaccines during the coming
autumn.
