MONTEVIDEO, July 14 (Xinhua) -- The A/H1N1 flu death
toll in Uruguay on Tuesday rose to 15, the Uruguayan Public Health Ministry
reported.
The Ministry said in a news release that among the total fatal cases, seven were registered in Montevideo, capital of Uruguay.
Health Minister Maria Julia Munoz told the press that
new deaths of A/H1N1 flu patients with chronic pathologies are likely to occur.
Till Monday, the authorities had confirmed 11 deaths.
All of the patients died with underlying medical
conditions.
Uruguay reported its first confirmed cases of A/H1N
flu on May 27, involving two young people who had traveled to Argentina.
