China denies restriction of ties between domestic, foreign companies

     BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Tuesday ruled out restrictions on cooperation between domestic and foreign companies while the government investigates spying allegations against employees of Anglo-Australian miner RioTinto Ltd.

   "It's an individual judicial case, in which the employees of Rio Tinto stole Chinese state secrets and posed a grave risk of damage to China's economic security and interests," Qin Gang told a regular press briefing.Full story 

China urges other countries to stop funding "East Turkistan terrorists"

    BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday strongly demanded that unnamed "relevant countries" stop their support for "East Turkistan terrorists" in the wake of the Urumqi riots.

    "We firmly opposes any support for the 'three forces' by any foreign countries or overseas organizations and demand they immediately cease the support," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang at a regular news briefing. Full story 

Chinese Vice FM to attend NAM summit in Egypt

    BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei is heading a governmental delegation to attend the 15th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit on July 15 and 16 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Tuesday.

    Founded in September 1961, the NAM groups 118 member states, 16observer countries and nine observer organizations.Full story
