PRAGUE, July 11 (Xinhua) -- The non-statutory prizes of the 44th Karlovy Vary International Film
Festival were given to film-makers from Ireland, Argentina, Denmark, Croatia, Serbia, Iran, Russia, Belgium, Canada, the United States and South Korea Saturday afternoon.
The Independent Camera Award for the best film of the Forum of Independents section, went to the Irish film Eamon by Margaret Corkery. The same jury gave a special prize to Argentinian filmmakers Federico Gotfried and Juan Sasiain for the film La Tigra, Chaco.
The prize Europa Cinemas Label, awarded by Europa Cinemas, was won by the Danish film Applause by Martin Pieter Zandvliet.
The Award of International Film Critics (FIPRESCI) went to the Serbia and Croatia coproduction Will not Stop There by Vinko Bresan.
Ecumenical Jury gave its prize to Twenty by Iranian film director Abdolreza Kahani.
The International Federation of Film Societies (FICC) gave its Don Quijote Award to the film Angel at Sea directed by Frederic Dumont.
The Belgium-Canada co-production has already won the top prize of the film festival -- the Grand Prix and the Crystal Globe in the category of best feature films.
Special mention went to the Russian film Wolfy by Vassily Sigarev and the Soul of Paul Giamatti by U.S. director Sophia Barthes.
Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema gave its prize to the film Ruins by South Korean director Yang Ik-June.
