BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen
Jiabao said Friday the government should maintain sustainable and stable
macroeconomic policy and maintain a favorable economic situation.
Wen made the remarks at a meeting on economic situation with presence of industrial experts and management. The meeting agreed that favorable factors and conditions were accumulating, and the national economy is turning better.

The measures taken by the central government has
proven to be timely, powerful and effective, and sustainable and stable
macroeconomic policy should be maintained, said the participants.
The government should keep a close eye on emerging
phenomenon in economic performance, and strengthen and improve macro-control
accordingly, they said.

Premier Wen urges adhering to
proactive fiscal policy and relatively easy monetary policy

has said the government should steadfastly adhere to the proactive fiscal policy
and relatively easy monetary policy.

Premier Wen calls for industrial
reforms, innovation to clinch recovery
BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao
said Friday that industrial consolidation, greater household consumption,
technical innovation and energy efficiency would pave the way for the country's
long-term development.
He told a gathering of economists and business people in
Beijing that greater efforts should be made in these areas if China was to move
beyond the present critical stage, when the economy was beginning to recover

TAIYUAN, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao
said China will keep consistent macro-economic policies, promote structural
adjustment, develop new growth sectors, improve growth quality and increase
people's livelihood to ensure stable and fast economic growth.
He made the remarks when visiting factories and mines in
north China's Shanxi Province Saturday and Sunday. Shanxi is a leading energy

critical moment of recovery
BEIJING, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Wednesday China's
economy is at a critical moment as it begins to recover "steadily".
Wen told an executive meeting of the State Council,

Chinese premier stresses expansion of

14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao stressed the importance of promoting
domestic consumption and independent research and development during a three-day
inspection tour of the central Hunan Province, which ended Sunday.
Wen said the key to a sound economic future lay in
continuing to "unswervingly" implement the government's policies to deal with
