BEIJING, July 7 -- A student in Auckland, New Zealand, has had an online
auction removed after he tried to sell naked photographs of his mother.
Michael, 18, started an auction titled "five naked photos of my mum" after
an argument with 44-year-old Jennifer, who had told him to clear the garage and
sell off unwanted items.
The sale was withdrawn by Trade Me, but Michael then tried to sell another
series of "glamour shots", this time with his mother's approval, the New Zealand
Herald reports.
Michael said: "I did it a bit sneakily but she found out. At first she was
was pretty shocked, but then she went along with it. I just wanted a bit of
extra cash, we're not rich or anything."
Jennifer said: "He was quite naughty. I thought, 'You cheeky little git',
but at least he'd been a bit creative about it."
Regarding the second set, she added: "I insisted Michael show me first, the
little bugger. They are quite artistic. There is nothing dodgy about them. They
were taken by a family friend about eight years ago.
"I wanted 50% of the sale, but more than that, I miss the nice comments."
Trade Me spokesman Jon Macdonald said: "We don't really want to be the
place where people list photos of their mums in their underwear."
