LONDON, July 6 (Xinhua) -- A nine-year-old child has died of A/H1N1, bringing the death toll of people with this disease in Britain to five.
The child had "serious underlying health problems," a spokesman for the National Health Service (NHS) said.
The child was the second person in the capital after a 19-year-old man died last week. No further details would be released to protect patient confidentially, the spokesman said.
Jacqui Fleming, 38, of Glasgow, was the first after contracting the virus last month. The youngest victim in Britain was six-year-old Sameerah Ahmad.
