SHANGHAI, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 14 others injured Sunday
night as a bus lost control and entered the opposite lane to collide with more
than 10 vehicles on a bridge in Shanghai.
The three dead included the driver and a passenger on the bus and the
driver of a taxi involved in the accident, a Shanghai municipal police spokesman
said.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on the Yangpu Bridge. The
bus driver was killed on the spot and the other two died of injuries after being
sent to hospital.
The injured people have been rushed to hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
