BEIJING, July 4 (Xinhuanet) -- The powerful sedative Diprivan was discovered in Micheal Jackson's home, according to law enforcement officials Friday.

Diprivan is an anesthetic used in hospitals to induce unconsciousness. The anesthetic, administered intravenously, is highly unusual to have in a private home.

As autopsy results are expected in several weeks, authorities are looking into allegations that Micheal, who died last Thursday after he went into cardiac arrest at his rented home in Los Angeles, was on painkillers, sedatives, and antidepressants.

They talked to Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse who was working with the pop star, after Deprivan was found. "Jackson pleaded for Diprivan just a few days before his death amid the stress of preparing for a massive series of comeback concerts.

Lee said she repeatedly rejected his demands because the drug was unsafe.

Sources close to Micheal told CNN Thursday the late singer was routinely using potent drugs to combat insomnia in the past.
