LONDON, July 3 (Xinhua) -- A major fire broke out in a tower block in southeast London on Friday, killing at least two children and leaving 30 people trapped, Sky news reported.
The London ambulance service said 10 people were taken to hospital. Three are in a serious condition and seven suffering from smoke inhalation.
The fire started on the 4th floor of a 12-story building in Camberwell. It is reported that more than 100 firefighters and 18 fire engines are battling the blaze.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said the fire was believed to be in the communal areas between floors 4 and 11.
