BEIJING, July 3 -- To prevent pork price from falling and protect the
interests of pig breeders, central government launched reservation of 120,000
tons of frozen pork. The task of stockpiling has come to the end by the end of
June.
In a logistics center in Jinan, capital of east China's
Shandong Province, the last batch of frozen pork was wrapped up and carried into
the refrigeratory of Jinan Welcome Food Co., Ltd.
SOUNDBITE: Ma Xianhua, Vice president of Jinan Welcome
Food Co., Ltd, said, "our company bid for the contract to reserve 40000 tons of
pork assigned by central government. From June 20, it took us 10 days to
complete the task."
Then Ministry of Commerce held a bidding the for the pork reservation
project.
SOUNDBITE: Ma said, "When the price of raw pork is soaring
up, the reserve will be put into the market to ease the price."
