MACAO, July 2 (Xinhua) -- The first Macao Franchise
Expo (MFE) was scheduled to be held from July 3 to 4, which aims to promote
franchising, chain store operations and brand agency through a series of
activities including product exhibition, business matching sessions and forums,
the Macao Daily Times reported on Thursday.
Co-organized by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion
Institute (IPIM), Brazilian Franchise Association, Association of Chain and
Franchise Promotion, Taiwan and the Licensing and Franchising Association of
Hong Kong, the MFE has recorded a total of 78 exhibitors, with over 90
franchises, chain stores and brand agency enterprises from the Chinese mainland,
Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as Brazil, the United States, Japan and
Southeast Asian countries.
The organizers have said that they believed Macao
Franchise Expo will provide a platform for commercial and industrial sectors by
promoting franchising, chain store and brand agencies to SMEs (small and
medium-sized enterprises) and offer an ideal opportunity for people to establish
their own businesses.
During the event, ten product and service seminars
will be held in a bid to assist participants to find suitable partners.
