No Chinese on board of crashed Yemeni airliner: FM spokesman

BEIJING, June 30(Xinhua)-- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang here Tuesday afternoon said China expresses its deep condolence to the families of victims of the Yemeni airliner crash in the Comoros archipelago.

A Yemeni airliner with more than 150 people on board crashed in the Indian Ocean archipelago Tuesday morning. Qin said there were no Chinese citizens on the crashed flight.

China hopes Honduras regain stability as soon as possible: FM spokesman


    BEIJING, June 30(Xinhua)-- China hopes Honduras will regain stability as soon as possible, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said here Tuesday afternoon.

China again stresses addressing Korean peninsula nuclear issue via six-party talks


    BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday reaffirmed its desire to seek Korean peninsula denuclearization through the six-party talks.

    BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua) -- China hopes to solve emerging trade problems with Russia through consultation, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said here Tuesday.

    Qin made the remarks when asked to comment on Russia's recent decision to confiscate and destroy 2 billion U.S. dollars worth of made-in-China goods.  Full story

China confirms plan for 2009 military exercise with Russia


    BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua) -- China and Russia will hold a military exercise later in 2009, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang Tuesday.

    "The two countries are working closely for the military exercise dubbed Peace Mission 2009," Qin told a regular press conference, without specifying a date.  Full story
