STOCKHOLM, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The first case of the A/H1N1 influenza strain showing resistance to Tamiflu, the main antiviral flu drug, was found in Denmark, according to reports reaching here from Copenhagen.

The patient was now well and no further infection with the resistant virus had been detected, Denmark's State Serum Institute said in a statement.

The patient was treated with another type of antiviral flu drug Relenza after showing resistance to Tamiflu.

It does not constitute a risk to public health and does not cause changes to the recommendations for the use of Tamiflu, the institute added.
