BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter
Scale shook the sea east of Hualien County, Taiwan at 5:34p.m. Beijing time
Sunday, according to China's seismological network.
The epicenter was located at 24.2 degrees north latitude and 121.8 degrees
east longitude, about 30 kilometers from Hualien County and 100 km from Taipei.
Hualien County is on the eastern coast of Taiwan island.
