    BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese mainland confirmed 49 new A/H1N1 flu cases from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday, bringing the total to 490, with no reports of deaths.

    Nineteen new cases were confirmed in Guangdong Province. Seven were confirmed in Shanghai. Six were reported in Beijing. Fujian and Liaoning provinces each reported four new cases. Two were confirmed in Hunan, the Ministry of Health said in the latest report.

    Provinces of Zhejiang, Henan, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebeias well as Chongqing City each reported one confirmed case, the ministry said.

    Among the patients, 251 have been discharged from hospital while the other 239 were still being treated.
