BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhuanet) -- A pair of jeans having the size of six tennis courts should be recognized by Guinness World Records as the biggest anywhere, organizers said in Croatia on Sunday.

    "We've made the world's largest pair of jeans!" the Cockta Jeans Fashion project said on its website. The jeans were stitched together from thousands donated for charity.

    They have a leg length of 45 meters and a total width of 34 meters and were sewn up in a local factory.

    "People were bringing in their old jeans... and sponsors were immediately giving money for humanitarian purposes," project head Boris Juric told national television.

    The jeans were put on display in Croatia's capital Zagreb on Saturday after they were assembled from 8,023 unwanted pairs and auctioned off over the last few months for charity.
