BEIRUT, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Shiite armed group Hezbollah described Saturday the Cairo speech of U.S. President Barack Obama as a smart talk aimed at polishing Washington's deformed image, local Elnashra website reported.

The speech does not rise to the standard of a new strategy by the U.S. new administration, Hezbollah statement said, adding that it is a "clear copy of the strictly contradictory U.S. policy."

Hezbollah stressed that "those whose history was based on eliminating other people cannot guide others," adding that any change felt by Muslims and Arabs in the speech, is not real change but is due to the U.S. failure in conquering Arab and Muslim states.

"We do not feel any change in the smooth speech because violence in the region is carried out by the Israeli and U.S. armies of occupation," said Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah Friday, adding that Obama's speech is empty words that are not translated into anything real.

Hezbollah fought a devastating 34-day war with Israel in 2006,and considers the U.S. as the main supporter to the Jewish state in its war against Arabs, however, Washington considers Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
