BAGHDAD, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Two U.S. soldiers were killed in separate
incidents in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Saturday.
A soldier died late on Thursday from wounds received during a grenade
attack on his patrol in the volatile province of Diyala in northeast Baghdad, a
military statement said.
In a separate incident, a marine assigned to Multi-National Force - West
died as the result of a non-combat related incident on Friday, another statement
said without saying where exactly the incident took place.
About 4,311 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the outbreak of
Iraq war in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon
figures.
