MEXICO CITY, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Guatemala's Health Minister Celso Cerezo on Friday reported the nation's seventh confirmed case of A/H1N1 flu, which has killed 95 people in Mexico since the first report of the new disease 24 days ago, according to news reaching here from Guatemala.

The new case involves a woman who received treatment at a private clinic in southeastern Guatemala City and has now returned home. She had developed flu-like symptoms -- headaches, muscular pain, an excess of mucus, and breathing difficulties -- after returning to Guatemala from a trip to the United States.

The minister reported a sixth confirmed infection on Thursday, in a 13-year-old boy who was also treated at a private clinic in the capital. Guatemala's flu sufferers included an 11-year-old girl, the first victim detected on May 5 after a visit to the Mexican state of Veracruz, three women aged 19, 22 and 64 respectively, and two minors. Four of them have now fully recovered.

Cerezo said that a further three samples are being tested in the Center for Disease Control in the U.S. city of Atlanta.

Earlier on Friday, the World Health Organization reported 15,510 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu in 53 countries and regions. Mexico has the largest number of deaths, but the United States has the largest number of infections.
