BUENOS AIRES, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Paraguayan national soccer team coach Gerardo Martino announced on Thursday the squad of 29 players summoned for the World Cup qualifiers against Chile (June 6) and Brazil (June 10).
According to information reaching here from Asuncion, the list includes players like Roque Santa Cruz (Blackburn Rovers from England) and Jonathan Santana (San Lorenzo from Argentina), despite they are injured.
Martino said that in the case of Santa Cruz "the doctors said he has evolved satisfactorily" from the injury in his left knee and "day by day we will be solving the difficulties to see if he has chances to play one of both matches."
Paraguay is leading the standings with 24 points and will play against Chile in Asuncion and later will face Brazil in Recife.
Martino said that Chile "plays all the matches in the same way."
