KABUL, May 28 (Xinhua)-- A suicide attack against international forces in
Afghanistan's southern Ghazni province killed two civilians and wounded two
foreign soldiers on Wednesday, provincial police chief Khyal Baz Shirzai said.
"A man driving an explosive-laden car blew it up next to a convoy of
international troops in Gilan district at 6 p.m., killing two civilians,
including a woman, and wounding two foreign soldiers," Shirzai told Xinhua.
However, he did not identify the nationality of the wounded soldiers,
saying they belonged to international forces.
Mostly, Polish forces were stationed in Ghazni serving within the framework
of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to stabilize security
there.
This is the second attack against international forces in Afghanistan over
the past two days. A similar attack on Tuesday in the northeastern Kapisa
province left three foreign soldiers dead.
Taliban fighters have vowed to speed up attacks against Afghan and the
U.S.-led forces this year in the post-Taliban nation.
