MANILA, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The Philippine marine-time authorities have suspended the license of a shipping line whose motorized skipper capsized last Saturday, killing 12 people, local media reported Monday.

The penalty effectively grounded seven skippers of the Ilagan Shipping Lines from ferrying passengers from the Batangas province to the popular resort of Puerto Galera in Mindoro Occidental province, the Philippine Star said.

MB Commando 6, carrying more than 60 passengers and crew, capsized in high tides as its wooden rig broke down during its voyage from Batangas to Mindoro Occidental at Saturday noon.

The authorities eye overloadingness as the main cause of the capsizal and maintained that they will not lift the operation suspension until the probe is concluded.
