BELGRADE, May 20 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden arrived here Wednesday on a one-day visit amid tight security in the city.

The U.S. vice president will also meet with Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, and pay tribute to slain Serbian premier Zoran Djindjic.

Biden paid an official visit to Sarajevo on Tuesday, kicking off his Balkan tour, which also includes Belgrade and Pristina.
