Airline, railway authorities keep on guarding against AH1N1 flu

    BEIJING, May 19 -- Airlines, railways and other relevant authorities keep on guarding against the A/H1N1 flu while the first patient of the virus on the Chinese mainland recovered and was discharged from hospital Sunday.

    Soundbite: Airport medical worker "The entrance is screened. Any passenger with a body temperature higher than normal will be immediately located. The alarming system will be touched off if the body temperature exceeds the ceiling of the normal temperature."

    Soundbite: Wang Yuyao, assistant engineer of railway passenger transport "These are emergency medical supplies that our railway station installed to deal with suspected A/H1N1 cases, including clinical thermometers, protective clothing, N95 facial masks, 24-tier masks, one-time masks and other frequently used medical equipment."

    Now that the A/H1N1 flu is spreading in many countries, relevant authorities in Sichuan Province have strengthened preventive measures to guard against "imported cases".
