BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Part of a residence
building collapsed due to landslide on late Saturday in northwest China's Gansu
Province, local authorities said on Saturday evening.
The landslide occurred at around 7 p.m. and two and more than 30 apartments of the resident building collapsed at around 8:50 p.m. in Jiuzhou Economic Development Zone in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu, rescuers told Xinhua at the scene.

The number of buried people was not yet confirmed,
however, the collapsed apartments housed 32 families, rescuers said.
One person was rescued, rescuers said.
The rescuing work is underway and the property
management company is trying to confirm the number of buried people.
