NEW DELHI, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Three children died of diarrhea in Palwal
area of north Indian state Haryana, local Hindi daily Danik Bhaskar said
Saturday.
Even as health authorities have confirmed three children dead, villagers
say in all, five have lost their lives in Bhagaula village of Palwal, the paper
said.
Officials said the reason for the disease is the pollution in the area and
that in the last 10 days, 80 people have started showing symptoms of diarrhea.
The health authorities immediately formed a team of doctors and deployed
them at the village.
Water supply in the village was getting contaminated due to drain water.
Public health department has been instructed to chlorinate the water and
medicines are being distributed in the village.
