    TOKYO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Thursday with the key Nikkei index down 2.21 percent.

    At 9:15 a.m., the benchmark Nikkei 225 Average lost 206.35 points to 9,134.14.

    The broader Topix index fell 19.11 points to 869.64.
