GUANGZHOU, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Police have seized a suspect in an investigation into a bomb blast which injured 14 people in south China's Dongguan City here Tuesday.
Police said they raided the suspect's dormitory in Chang'an Township, where they found explosives and detonating materials.
The 33-year-old male suspect is a native of Henan Province, police said.
The man, surnamed Hu, confessed that he made the attack to take revenge on society, after his investment in a shop with his girlfriend in the city failed, police said.
The blast occurred at 8:25 p.m., May 3, on the pavement outside a shop in the Humen township of Dongguan City. Fourteen people, including six men and eight women, were injured and taken to hospital. None has life-threatening injuries.
