Flu
BEIJING, May 7 -- Thirty-three quarantined people
including 10 Mexicans have been in good condition in Guomen Hotel Beijing,
showing no symptom of the A/H1N1 flu since being transferred from Beijing Ditan

disinfected as quarantine residence after removing some 100 former customers.
The sewage disposal system and water supply system have gone through tests by
health and anti-epidemic department and CTC monitoring systems. The Hotel also
switched off the air-supply outlet of the central conditioning system in a bid
to avoid the possibility of cross infection. Windows of the hotel rooms have
been kept open to let the fresh air in.
Among the 33 quarantined, eight Mexicans left the
Hotel on Tuesday and headed home on a chartered flight.
Soundbites: Yu Debin, deputy director of Beijing
Tourist Bureau, chief commander of quarantined residence, said,"There are
now 229 people in service including the hotel staffs, command members, personnel
in health and anti-epidemic department, doctors, experts and CTC inspectors."
These persons in quarantine are from Mexico, Beijing,
Yunnan and Jilin, so the hotel prepares different food to suit their tastes. For
example, western food is served for Mexicans and spicy food for Yunnanese. They
are all in good condition during the quarantine period.
The quarantine residence is divided into isolated
area and living area. The quarantined are allowed to do whatever they want in
