China sweeps almost every medal in table tennis worlds

    YOKOHAMA, Japan, May 4 (Xinhua) -- China is set to walk away with 18 medals out of 20 at stake at the world table tennis championships after pushing out last non-Chinese players out of contention on Monday.

    Ma Long and Chen beat Japan's Seiya Kishikawa and Jun Mizutani in the men's doubles semifinals on Monday afternoon, making sure all five championship finals Chinese matters.

    With a 11-6, 11-8, 11-3, 11-5 victory, Ma and Chen will vie for the title with Wang Hao and Chen Qi on Tuesday.

    China only let go two bronzes as Kishikawa and Mizutani picked one and South Korea's women's doubles pair Kim Kyung Ah/Park Mi Young took the other.
