BEIJING, May 1 -- A spokesman for the Canton Fair said on Wednesday that preventative measures would be taken to insure the health and safety of attendees during the third phase of the fair starting on May 3 in the wake of the swine flu outbreak in Mexico and America.

The air conditioner filters, fresh air room, air supply & exhaust duct, floor, sewers, septic tank and the like would also be cleaned and disinfected.
The fair has made formal request to Guangzhou Municipal Health Bureau and Guangzhou Tourist Bureau for a daily report of the location and health condition of the businessmen from the infected zone.
Mu Xinhai also said experts would discuss on Thursday whether to take the temperatures of the attendees.
