KATHMANDU, April 29 (Xinhua) -- One million more
Nepalis will be granted food contribution this year through the World Food
Program amid the food crisis in Nepal, national news agency RSS reported on
Wednesday.
The Nepal Representative of the World Food Program
(WFP) Richard Regan expressed worries about the grave crisis of food security in
Nepal because of drought and climatic adversity.
He said the food program run by WFP has been
contributing to three million Nepalese people in the past years.
"WFP should implement long term programs in countries
like Nepal, as the crisis is worldwide," the report quoted Regan as saying.
The western part of the country is facing extreme
food crisis.
