BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- China's State Council, or Cabinet, announced Friday the appointment of five senior officials:

    -- Lu Xin and Hao Ping were appointed vice education ministers;

    -- Yuan Shuhong left the post of vice president of the China National School of Administration to become deputy director of the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council;

    -- Zhou Wenzhang was named vice president of the China National School of Administration;

    -- Liu Xinhua became vice chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission.

    The State Council also ended the terms of Zhang Xinsheng and Zhao Qinping as vice education ministers, Zhao Weishui's term as vice culture minister, Fan Fuchun's term as vice chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission and Wu Tianlin's term as chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Key Large State-Owned Enterprises.
