KATHMANDU, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The Federation of Nepalese Chambers and Commerce (FNCCI) and Agro Enterprise Center in collaboration with government agencies and commodity associations will organize the fourth agro expo 2009 on April 10-14 in Nepali capital Kathmandu.

    The main theme of the expo is "Economic Uplift through Agro Business Development".

    There will be participants from 10 districts and 125 stalls will be set up in the expo. Agro-based industrial products, beekeeping and honey, coffee, floriculture, fruits and vegetables, livestock, dairy products and poultry farming will among the highlights of the event.

    The objective of the event is to provide first-hand information about the prospects of agri-business linked with rural economic development.

    The slogan for the expo is "One village, One product".

    Agro-based indigenous food festival, agro product festival, livestock demonstration, interactions and seminars will also be held.

    Agro Enterprises Center and FNCCI have successfully organized a series of agro expos in the past in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
