TEHRAN, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that new stage of Iran's nuclear program would be operational soon, the official IRNA news agency reported.

He would commission new stage of nuclear program during his visit to Isfahan, Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.

Visiting Isfahan nuclear installations tops the agenda of his visit, he told the reporters upon arrival in Isfahan, capital of Iran's central province of Isfahan, Wednesday morning to attend the Iran's National Nuclear Day ceremonies to be held on Thursday.

He said Iran will not seek nuclear bomb. "I am telling you that the Iranian nation was never seeking a bomb as the era of bombs and armies is over."

U.S. President Barack Obama, in his speech before cheering crowds in Prague, said the United States would present Iran with "a clear choice" to cease its nuclear and ballistic missile activities or face increased isolation.

"Now, Iran's leaders must choose whether they will try to build a weapon or build a better future for their people."

Iran's nuclear program is questioned by many parties. The United States and other western countries claim that Iran intends to secretly develop nuclear weapons, and the UN Security Council also requires Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment activity.

However, Iran insists that its nuclear plan is only for peaceful purposes, and continues its uranium enrichment activity despite pressure and sanctions from western countries.
