Special Report: Tension escalates in Iraq

    BAGHDAD, April 6 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and some 15 others wounded in a car bomb blast near a crowd of construction workers in central Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.

    A booby-trapped car parked near a crowd of construction workers who gather to get a day-long job in the Allawi district, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

    The toll could rise as ambulances and many civilian cars transported victims to Baghdad hospitals, the source said.
