    BEIJING, April 4 -- Chinese President Hu Jintao put forward a five-point proposal on China-Japan relations in London on Thursday during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso following the Group of 20 summit.

    Hu would like to continue exchange of visits by leaders, to push forward economic and trade cooperation; to strengthen personnel exchanges, especially between young people; to reinforce bilateral cooperation in international affairs, and to properly handle sensitive issues and better safeguard the overall situation of bilateral relations with Japan.

    Prime Minister Aso said he was looking forward to his visit to China and was glad that the Japan-China-Republic of Korea Leader's Meeting would be held in China this year.

    Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from London.
