KATHMANDU, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Former Nepali Crown Prince Parasis planning to return and lead the country when the time is right, according to Himalayan Times Tuesday's report.
The daily quoted a series of interviews published since Sunday by The New Paper, a Singapore-based daily as reporting that, Parasrecounts the incidents of June 1, 2001, including how the then Crown Prince Dipendra shot his mother, with gory details and describes his own life in Singapore.
In the interviews, Paras said Nepali people deserve a better government. He said he will assume power through the ballot box.
"I will form a new party with young people -- bankers, professionals, men with a vision for the country. But really, all this can only come to pass if the people want me," he added.
Paras said he left Kathmandu because it was not safe for him, and he did not get along with his father.
He told the paper that he did not have a bank account in Singapore. "I get money from home," he said.
Paras is the only son of the former King Gyanendra who succeeded the Crown Prince after Dipendra's suicide following the massacre on the night of June 1, 2001.
The ex-prince has been living in Singapore since July 2008 after monarchy was abolished in Nepal in May.
