JAKARTA, March 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck eastern parts of Indonesia on Tuesday, no report of damage or casualty, the local meteorology agency reported.
The quake jolted at 02:31 Jakarta time (1931 GMT) with the epicenter at 217 km northwest Saumlaki of Maluku province and at 97 km in depth, an official of the agency said.
