    TOKYO, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks rose substantially Monday morning with the key Nikkei index jumping 2.44 percent.

    At 11 a.m., the benchmark Nikkei 225 Average advanced 184.83 points to 7,754.11.

    The broader Topix index gained 21.48 points to 745.78.
