    ROME, March 11 (Xinhua) -- English soccer icon David Beckham has injured his ankle after training with AC Milan on Tuesday, said the Serie A club on its official website.

    Just few days ago, the 33-year-old midfielder signed an extension to his loan deal at the Italian giants from Los Angeles Galaxy, keeping him at the club until the end of June.

    Milan did not reveal for how long the former England captain would be sidelined but said that they would try to evaluate the seriousness of his injury over the coming days.
