KABUL, March 10 (Xinhua)-- Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai left for Iran on Tuesday to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Conference held in Tehran, a statement released by his office said.

    "President Hamid Karzai at the head of high ranking delegation left for Iran to attend the 10th ECO summit opened Wednesday in Tehran," the statement said.

    President and Prime Ministers from member states which include Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan would participate in the regional economic forum.
