RIO DE JANEIRO, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The former Santos soccer star who currently plays for England's Manchester City, Robinho arrived on Friday in Brazil.

The player is suffering from a nagging injury in his right thigh. For this reason, he chose to come back to Brazil in order to meet with the doctors he trusts in Sao Paulo.

His examination will take place on Saturday, March 7, at the Sports Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy and Physiological Center in Sao Paulo. Robinho wished to go to the center so that he could be seen by doctor and physical therapist, Luiz Rosan.

Rosan is a personal friend of Robinho and also attends to the Brazilian national soccer team. Rosan was also a member of the Santos medical staff when Robinho played there.

Robinho hopes that Rosan will be able to help him recuperate from his thigh injury that he suffered in the February 14 game against Portsmouth when Manchester City lost 2-0.

Another Brazilian player who plays abroad, Diego, also called upon the services of Rosan in order to treat an injury. Robinho's stay in Brazil will be brief. He is expected to board a plane on Sunday, March 8, in order to return to England.
