Special Report: Fight against Global Warming

    DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania is to play host to the next Global Initiative on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change conference which is now slated for September this year.

    The conference will be a follow-up to another global conference held in Dhaka of Bangladesh earlier this week.

    Hundreds of representatives of donor agencies, non-governmental organizations and research institutes are expected to participate in the Tanzanian conference as more than 150 such representatives from over 50 countries and regions took part in the Dhaka conference.

    The Dhaka conference focused on discussions about the serious impacts of climate change to the lives and the livelihoods of people in poor communities of the world.
