    AMSTERDAM, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Nine people were killed and more than 50 others were injured when a Turkish Airlines plane crashed while attempting to land at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Wednesday, airport officials said.

   "There are nine victims to mourn and more than 50 injured," Michel Bezuijen, acting mayor of Haarlemmermeer, said at a press conference at the Schiphol airport near Amsterdam, adding that the cause of the accident was still unclear.  Full story

Turkish passenger plane crashes near Amsterdam, casualties unconfirmed

    AMSTERDAM, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 passenger plane crashed while attempting to land at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport Wednesday. Casualties of the tragedy remain unconfirmed.

    A latest report by a Dutch television said seven people were killed. However, earlier reports said that there was only one person killed while Turkish Transport Minister Binali Yildirim said there had been no fatalities. Full story

    AMSTERDAM, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- An eyewitness was quoted by a Dutch television saying that seven have been killed after a Turkish airplane B-737-800 with 137 passengers crashed near the Dutch capital of Amsterdam on Wednesday.

    Earlier reports said there were no deaths in the crash with more than 20 injured. But the Broadcaster Channel 24 reported later that five had been killed. Full story

    ANKARA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 20 people were injured in the Turkish Airlines (THY) plane crash in Amsterdam, executive board chairman of the airline said on Wednesday.

    There was no reported loss of life in the THY plane which crashed while landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, THY Executive Board Chairman Candan Karlitekin was quoted as saying by the semi-official Anatolia news agency. Full story

Minister: no casualties in Turkish airliner crash in Armsterdam

    ANKARA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Turkey's Transport Minister Binali Yildirim said on Wednesday that there were no casualties at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport Turkish Arilines crash, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

    ANKARA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- At least one passenger was killed and 20 others were wounded when a Turkish Airlines crashed during landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Wednesday, local Dogan News Agency reported.

    BRUSSELS, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish Airlines plane carrying 135 passengers and 8 crew members crashed while trying to land at the Schiphol airport in Amsterdam at around 10:40 a.m. local time.
